Monday - a man walked down a road and fell in a hole. He was walking down the street and not paying attention. He told himself it wasn't his fault. Some would call him careless, not alert, ignorant...or was he?
Tuesday - the man walked down the same road and fell in the same hole. He remembered this wasn't the first time he had fallen. Yet he did nothing to prevent the fall. This time, there were no surprises and no excuses.
Wednesday - the man, again, walked down the same road and fell into the same hole. He knew he shouldn't have gone this way. But he did it anyway. He was tired of falling the same way in the same place.
Thursday - the man did not want to fall into the same hole again. Being now very familiar with the road, he saw the hole coming. He "carefully" walked around the edge. The fact is, it would have been easy to fall in again. Because he came really close to the edge. Even though the man walked down the same road, through strong determination, the man did not fall into the same hole.
Friday - the man walked down a different road.
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:12-13
