Hope in Dark Places

At a time when the disciples needed clarity, Jesus makes a bizarre statement to them. He said, What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ears, shout from the housetops for all to hear!

Sometimes, even often times, God takes us into the dark in order to tell us something. It is there He tells us His secrets. He causes our eyes, blinded by the worldly glare of constant distractions, to see from a heavenly perspective. And our ears suddenly detect even the whisper of His voice, which has been so often drowned out by the daily grind and loud cries. We must have periods of lonely meditation with God. Our soul must have times of fellowship with Him on the mountain as well as in the valley.

But once we hear His voice and daybreak has come - we have a responsibility. We are not to linger in the darkness or stay in our closet. We must proclaim what we have heard and what we have seen. Be ready, today, to give God the glory for something He has brought you through. Share your testimony and His goodness with someone as He opens a door of opportunity. Who knows, maybe it's just what they need to hear from Him too...in His grip.

Matthew 10:27

Coach's tip - Coach's are overrated and over criticized. It takes horses to pull the cart, not just the guy sitting on the top of the wagon.
